The World League
Yes, the World League is one of the volleyball leagues or events typically covered by Bwin. It is a volleyball competition for men. And as of the moment, considered as the longest running international events organized by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball or FIVB. It was created in 1990.
The World League takes place annually and it is really just for men. The event for women is the FIVB World Grand Prix.
In 1990’s, the World League was indeed dominated by the Italians. The first three World League tournaments in 1990, 1991 and 1992 were won by them. The next tournament in 1993 was won by the Brazilians. However, the succeeding tournaments in 1994 and 1995 were again dominated by the Italians. The following tournament in 1996 was won by the Dutch people. But then, the next tournament in 1997 was again dominated by the Italians. The following tournament in 1998 was won by the Cubans. However, the next tournaments in 1999 and 2000 were again dominated by the Italians. They are indeed the volleyball champions of 1900’s. They were the dominant players in the first ten years of the World League.
But in the recent years, perhaps the Italians lost their magic in the volleyball courts, giving the Brazilians and even the Americans the chance to also dominate the World League.
No doubt, the World League is a one league that we can consider at this point as one of the most successful volleyball leagues. For years, it has been a much-awaited annual event.

It is a league that is always rich in action because of the Italians, Brazilians and the likes who have been so after to win its highest recognition.
